The wonderful game of Basketball was invented all the way back in 1891 by a Canadian bloke called Dr James Naysmith who designed a game in order to keep his students occupied and fine tuned during the long cold winter months and to this day although a few things are a little different the game is still exactly the same as it was then except for a few thousand fans now screaming from the sidelines.

The game itself is played by five active players on each team trying to score points against one another by propelling a ball through a 10 feet (3 m) high hoop with different scoring zones offering Two and Three point scoring opportunities unless you have been fouled then you get chances to score from the edge of the arc with One point awarded for every basket scored.
