Greenflagsportsbetting.com – The Tennis season is once again upon us and with the 1st Grand slam of the year coming and going we have had yet another two weeks of high drama Tennis with plenty of enjoyment and heartbreak for players and fans alike.
The men’s draw opened up with Federer and Murray being marked down as early favourites but my tip (who I hope you all backed) was Nadal at 7/2 with Ladbrokes and when you consider this is one of only 2 Grand Slams that the brilliant Spanish player had never won I felt it was a bet that was too good to refuse.

With Murray and the other fancied player (last year’s winner) Djokovic going out early in the tournament it was left to the warriors of men’s Tennis at the minute Federer and Nadal to once again play out a exceptional final which was played at a high tempo from start to finish with Nadal scraping the five set match just like he did at Wimbledon last year.
The Women’s draw turned out to be a bit different than the men’s with the top seed Jelena Jankovic being dumped out early on in the 4th round in straight sets. The Williams sisters once again showed their strength in battling through round after round with Venus eventually being beaten it was left to Serena to carry the flag and although there were three Russian girls in the semi finals she eventually became champion beating 3rd seed Dinara Safina in straight sets 6-0 6-3 in a totally one sided final.
